The method, in the open
How the score is calculated
The number summarizes one run. It is not a leaderboard position.

Up to 60 points come from how many answers name the business.
- 02
Up to 30 points come from list position, averaged only across answers that name it: 1st is 30, 2nd is 22, 3rd is 14, later is 8, and a mention outside a numbered list is 12.

10 points if the business’s own website is among the citations.
- 04
One run is shown as a band of 15 points on either side. Model answers change between runs, so the number is not a rank. After three finished scans, the band becomes the lowest and highest score actually recorded.

Questions worth answering first
Is this real data from ChatGPT or Google?
No, and we say so on purpose. We send customer-style questions to a search-grounded AI model through its API and show you the text that comes back, with the model name and the time of the run. We do not have a private feed of what every consumer app shows to every user. The scan is a sample, not an audit of a specific app.
Which AI model answers my free scan?
Right now a free scan uses one search-grounded model, Perplexity Sonar, with live web search. Paid plans can add more models when they are configured. The result page always names the model that answered each question.
Do you guarantee my business will show up?
No. A scan records what a model answered this time. It does not promise a ranking, more customers, or revenue, and a second run can name different businesses. That is why the score is shown as a band, and why weekly monitoring exists for people who want to watch the pattern.
Why can a second scan give a different result?
These models are not deterministic and the web pages they retrieve change. One run is a single sample. Starter and Pro repeat the same questions every week so you can see the pattern instead of one noisy number.
What does the free scan include, and what costs money?
The free scan includes five customer-style questions, the replies, your score band, who else was named, the pages that were cited, and the titles of ten suggested actions. The step-by-step instructions for those actions are in the one-time $9 report or in Starter and Pro.
How do cancellation and billing work?
Starter ($19) and Pro ($39) are monthly subscriptions billed in US dollars by Lemon Squeezy, our seller of record, which adds any tax at checkout. You can cancel any time. Cancelling stops the next charge, and access continues until the end of the period you already paid for. The $9 report is a single payment. Our terms are still a draft that a lawyer has not reviewed; see them for details.
What do you do with my email and my business details?
We use your email to send the result and, if you ask, a one-time sign-in link. There is no password. The free plan allows one scan per email. We do not sell your address. The business details you enter are sent to the AI model to run the scan. Result links are unlisted but not private: anyone with the link can read that scan.
